Oh the Pain!
So I thought I was going to die the other day. I've got kidney stones and they haven't been too bad until Sunday morning. I woke up at 1am, 2am, 3am and stayed awake from then on because the pain was so excrutiating. I couldn't even move. I climbed back in bed about 5am bawling to Weston because the pain hadn't gone away since 3. He gave me a blessing and I felt a ton better. I could actually walk. It was still really painful. So about 6am we took a walk around the block to see if it would help. I finally fell asleep about 8am and was out til about noon. Then at about 3pm the pain was back! I just couldn't move, I tried everything I could think of to relieve the pain, but nothing worked. I've heard that it's the worst pain in the world, now I totally believe it!

Looks like childbirth should be a breeze now! I feel bad for you cuz I have heard they hurt like nothing else.
I had gallstones and that hurt pretty bad until my gallbladder got taken out.
Are they going to do anything about the kidney stones or do you just have to pass them?
Logans right about the labor. It will be a breeze compared to kidney stones from what I hear. I hope other than that things are going well.
I've got an appointment on Thursday so I'll see what they can do about it. Everyone I've talked to said they had to drink tons of water and take pain reliever until they passed. So that's what I'm doing. The pain's moved from my back to my side/front so I'm hoping that's a good sign! I actually was able to sleep most of the night last night. I got up at 3am to take some Tylenol and slept 'til about 9. It was awesome!
I am no doctor, but from what I have learned in my job and from A&P in school, that sounds like the route the stones take. They go from your kidneys, (back pain) and then really hurt as they travel down the ureters (side pain) and those go down to the bladder. When they get closer to your bladder then you will probably have some groin pain also. One of my comps on the mission had them and they were pretty bad news. He said it hurt the worst to pass them out you know what.... Good luck with that and make sure you drug yourself up as much as you can! :)
