Memorial Day

My Mom and I went to the cemeteries to put flowers by my Grandpa's and Great Grandparents grave. We had the opportunity to see the Vietnam traveling wall memorial while we were there. It was such an amazing, humbling experience. There were so many names that we were overcome with tears of gratitude. They were still setting up the flags and cleaning it when we were there. But it was still an unforgettable moment!
That weekend we headed up to Bear Lake for some camping with the fam. It was beautiful Saturday morning, but by dinner...it was pouring!!! We made ponchos out of garbage bags to stay a little dry. We tenters decided to head to my Aunts cabin to shower and sleep for the night. We had a blast even if it was a soggy weekend. The kids found a cool "hut". Porter said that "there's no way a kid made it, and it was way too perfect for an adult to make it." They loved it until they saw an "animal bigger than a deer!" and came running like mad down the mountain screaming.

I think it rained everywhere for Memorial Day. What a good way to kick off summer.
